Easter Triduum
You are invited to join our celebration of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil. The liturgical services that take place during the Triduum (TRIH-du-um) are the Mass of the Lord's Supper, Good Friday of the Lord's Passion, and the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord. Please note:
- Incense will be a part of the Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday Masses, as well as the 12:15pm Mass on Easter Sunday.
- There are no daily Masses on April 17, 18, & 19. The parish office is closed on Good Friday in preparation for Easter.
- There is one daily Mass on Monday, April 21 at 11:30am.
- There are no Confessions on Wednesday, April 23.
Divine Mercy Anointing of the Sick
We will have an Anointing of the Sick Liturgy at 1:30pm on Sunday, April 27, Divine Mercy Sunday. Those who wish to receive the sacrament may include anyone who has life threatening or life-changing illness, anyone who is facing surgery, or who is frail as a result of age or infirmity. Please join us!
After the liturgy, our Homebound Ministry is hosting a lunch in the Commons at 2:00pm. Please RSVP for the lunch in the binder in the Commons by April 22!
Social Concerns
The social concerns collection this weekend is for the Little Sisters of the Poor. Their mission is to offer the neediest elderly a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family, and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself.
Good Friday Second Collection
Pope Francis has asked our parish to support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land, where they are now less than 2% of the population. Your support is essential to help the Church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools, and offer religious education. The Pontifical Good Friday Collection also helps to preserve the sacred shrines of Christianity, including in Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Bethlehem, to name only a few.
When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you join with Catholics around the world in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land. For more information about Christians in the Holy land, visit www.myfranciscan.org or www.custodia.org.
Stations of the Cross on Good Friday
On Good Friday, April 18, Stations of the Cross will take place at 3:00pm (indoors and outdoors). Join us.
