Welcome. Fr. Kevin Fields!
A Baltimore native, Fr. Fields grew up at St. Peter Parish in Olney. He is an alumnus of Canisius College. Before entering the seminary, Fr. Fields worked as a banker, earned a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Baltimore, and served on the Maryland Chapter Council of the American Society for Public Administration. He completed his priestly formation at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary; earning both a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Arts degree in Moral Theology. Fr. Fields served as Transitional Deacon here at St. Elizabeth Parish from 2017 to 2018. Ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Washington in 2018, he was Parochial Vicar of St. Mary Parish in Rockville from 2018 to 2021. Fr. Fields is Chaplain of the Msgr. Thomas M. Wells Division 3 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, an Irish Catholic fraternal order.
Walking with Purpose—Women’s Bible Study
We would like to welcome women of the parish to join us this Fall for our next Walking with Purpose Bible Study, Discovering Our Dignity. Women of the Old and New Testaments were as flawed and broken as we can be, yet the power of God worked in their lives. Learn from their experiences in Discovering Our Dignity, a 22-lesson Bible study. Through their stories recorded in Scripture, women of the Bible reach out to touch our “present” in a tender, honest and loving way -- woman to woman -- with ancient wisdom, sage advice, and insights from sorrowful failures and emotional wounds. Learn how God worked in the lives of Biblical women: Sisters Leah and Rachel overcame jealousy when they learned that God offered all that they really needed. Abigail’s faith was so strong she didn’t despair, no matter how unpleasant life was with her husband. Deborah had been given grace by God to act as His prophet, for the good of her people
